review 1: I really did not enjoy the timeline jumping all over the place. I ended up reading the book chronilogically using the content page as a guide. I also found the story such a cliche - okay, call me heartless! I am not one of the cynics who hate a cancer story (by the by, one of my favourite books in the last year is The Fault in Our Stars - just saying). I just dislike the cheap sentiment. I also cannot stand the friendship between the protagonist and her childhood best friend. The book leaves me cold.
review 2: I have really mixed feelings about it. Of course, it touches your heart at the end but it's the end one cannot write anything about not to spoil your read. But if it weren't for the "end" I would say it was too long, too "cliche" and too predictable. On t... morehe other hand, it changed me a bit, made me appreciate simple things I haven't appreciated so far. Hence, the whole "mixed feelings" rate and eventually 3 stars. less
