review 1: I am a big fan of Lisa Gardner's books, but this was my first time reading one of hers written as Alicia Scott. I was definitely not disappointed. Maggie's Man had the suspense and thrills that I have come to expect from Lisa Gardner, but with a touch of romance. Maggie and Cain are very likeable characters that I found myself really caring what would happen to them. I found this to be a highly entertaining story that I would recommend to readers of romance as well as suspense.

... moreu suspend belief and ignore how ludicrous it is that a hostage, in the course of just a few hours, would fall passionately in lust and love with the prison escapee who took her captive, regardless of how hot and sensitive he might be. I much prefer Gardner's mystery thriller series, which reverse the balance of romance or sexual tension with the mystery and suspense. But it is Lisa Gardner, nom de plume notwithstanding, and as such, was an entertaining and well-written read, thus explaining the three stars. less
