I cannot handle this anymore. I simply cannot handle all this angst bullshit anymore. I'm done. I don't know exactly what I expected from this book, but honestly I expected more. I don't know if I was just in a pissy attitude while I read this but within the first couple of pages, I was already rolling my eyes. Kelsey was so fucking annoying I couldn't even handle it. I get it, your dad murdered your mom, but seriously? Every fucking page she manages to work in there how she "used to be a different person, and ever since the accident, she's all quiet and different and not outspoken like Jessie" And don't even get me started on Jessie. I couldn't stand her, I couldn't stand how Kelsey did every fucking thing she didn't want to do just to make her happy. Like she didn't even want to get a tattoo, yet she's like "Jessie had to give up so many dates for me while I went through a tough time, she deserves me doing this for her."Boo fucking who. She couldn't go whore around while you were getting over your mother's murder, how fucking terrible. This book was just entirely stupid, it had no potential to become something good. I hated Kelsey, I hated Jessie, and I hated Landon. And I fucking despised Kane. I don't know what the fuck Stone had planned for this story when it came to Kane, but it was utterly ridiculous. Kane has all these tattoos and piercing and yet he talks like a fucking girl and just completely pissed me off. I don't give a shit if the guy is a douchebag or if he is nice, but at least make him realistic. This entire book just made me groan, sigh, and roll my eyes in annoyance. There was not a likable quality at any part of this book. I don't even know why I gave the book two stars. It doesn't even deserve one.
Terrible. Absolutely terrible. The plot of this book is so overused and incredibly predictable. A broken girl flees to a university far away from her hometown to escape the damaged life her father caused. A sexy, smooth-talking "bad boy" meets her and they hit it off immediately. But wait! She won't have sex with him, and makes it clear that she won't despite him not even mentioning it at all. Their relationship takes the typical course of casual flirting to working to get past the deep-seeded issues the girl has. Someone tell me that I'm not the only one who knew the end of this story before it began. It wasn't just the plot being predictable either, it's always the broken girl who has the extroverted and flirty best friend who obviously attracts the best friend of the bad boy. I don't see how authors can reuse the same plot; it's time to be different! Write something completely new and fresh; it's easier said than done, I'm aware but take that chance! Be creative and extraordinary. And please, write anything but this. There are far too many stories that don't keep you on your toes, stories that have more than enough in common with every other book out there.
