Could have easily been published as YA. Glad to see it recognized on the Giller Longlist.
Enjoyed it. Hard to believe the loyalty to the worthless parents. Liked the local setting.
Really well written and readable, but once again I didn't like the non-ending.
A straight-up story with a wise and tender heart.
Possibly better enjoyed by a juvenile reader.
