I found this book too dark for children, and too flat (& in some ways shallow) for any age.
One word : AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meh. Not fantastic, but kept me reading.
