This is the final book in the "Angels Everywhere" series about angels Shirley, Goodness and Mercy, who are prayer ambassadors sent to earth by archangel Gabriel to help answer humans' prayer requests. This time, they added an apprentice angel named Will(Psalm 23 says surely goodness and mercy WILL follow me!), who just can't resist making a move that upsets the natural order of God's plan. Will the four angels, plus their boss Gabriel, be able to fix everything and answer the prayer request in time? I am really sad that there are no more books in this series, I've really loved it. Who knows, maybe she'll write some more!
I "read" this as an audio book, which I often do while I'm doing other things. This was my first book by Macomber. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't really great. I have a hard time believing that angels are as clueless about humans as they are made out to be, or that they screw up as much as these ones do. The book makes angels look like a bunch of Chesters and Heaven as wholly dependent and out of control as they are. The storyline was pretty good, and I liked most of the characters. The romance was full of cheese, though. It was cute, but doesn't make me want to go right out and get another book by the same author.
Easy reading. Delightful and light-hearted. I so enjoy Debbie Macomber's Christmas angels.
A nice light read.
