A murder takes place killing Mr and Mrs Kaffey, body guards, a maid and shot but not dead is the youngest son. He gives what details he can but it is not a lot of info. Decker and his crew of detectives set about working the case. Things seem to go nowhere when other events start occurring, such as attempted murder. Who can be doing this? That is a mystery that needs to be solved before someone else is killed. This is my first time to read a novel written by this author but it will not be the last. Her writing is easy to understand and keeps you wanting to keep reading. I enjoyed reading this book.

FINALLY--I have read almost a dozen books by mystery authors that I usually like alot, and have been disappointed every time--I mean, really, batting a thousand--but this one was just as good as the others--or at least shares alot of the characteristics with them--a serene Rina and a firey Decker--they are older and seem older--they also are more of a couple since their children are older. Rina still has an attention to detail in the kitchen that I enjoy. The book is a little too interconnected to be entirely believable--but very good none the less.

Pretty typical for the series. Better than the last one.
