Maybe it's that I've read all of the high heels books to date. Maybe it's that I'm starting to get into the mind of an amateur sleuth (ha! right!), or maybe Gemma Halliday is getting predictable (unlikely), but I knew who the killer was about halfway through. Regardless, I really enjoyed this installment of the High Heels books. I think Maddie continued to be fun, and her pregnancy added something to stories. Her mother and Mrs. Rosenblatt were especially insane over it (although, I think it would be fun to see Maddie's mom and Ramirez's mom in cahoots over something, or even see the relationship between Maddie and her mother-in-law).Halliday did get in on the Twi-hard vampire craze, but I was so relieved when it turned out to be (much like an episode of "Castle") something that seemed a bit more surreal than it really was. There's an explanation for EVERYTHING! Loved that about it.I will continue reading the "High Heels" books for as long as Gemma Halliday continues writing them. I really love them. They're so much fun.

Fluffy book. An easy read. Kinda similar to the Stephanie Plum books.
