Has some genuinely lyrical passages, but her obsession with latrines and bodily functions mars it...
I did not love this book--a reasonable tale, but not to my taste. Well written.
I loved her short stories so I'm eager to read her novel.
Fantastic book. Magical realism with a Russian twist.
Tried to be both funny and moving and was neither.
