James Frey non è così conosciuto. Non rientra nei grandi nomi come un King, un Grisham o un Safran Foer. Ma James Frey sa scrivere e non solo perchè è uno scrittore e la cosa dovrebbe essere di ovvia conseguenza. James Frey va al di là perché riesce a cogliere sentimenti, sensazioni e affetti dell'animo umano nella sua parte migliore e nello schifo peggiore. Questa storia si svolge in una cornice religiosa ma dà spunti di riflessione ad ampio spettro. Una nuova visione e un nuovo modo di descrivere colui che potrebbe essere il Messia ai giorni nostri. Una biografia forte narrata attraverso gli occhi di diversi protagonisti che hanno avuto la fortuna di incontrare il Figlio di Dio. James non delude, non delude mai.
Controversial. Illicit. Overtly religious. Sexually deviant. This has truly been one of the most intriguing books I have read in some time. I myself was not sold on the writing style of 'A Million Little Pieces', and I am still not convinced Frey is a great writer. But there is definitely something within the way he tells his tales and his sincere & moving examination of the nature of spirituality that captures you and propels you through this book. 'The Final Testament' is a strong and absorbing piece of writing.
