This has been a popular bookclub selection, from what I understand. So when someone in my group suggested it last April, I was happy to add it to the list. Not sure what I really think of this one because the premise that a family member has disappeared without a trace (which we learn at the outset) is so upsetting to me that I found it difficult to enjoy reading the story that unfolded. Upon reflection, I would be best served by re-reading the story knowing how it turns out. (Realistically I probably won't though.)

Oh the end. A disappointment to an otherwise beautifully conceived book
Good story. Poor writing. The end.
Not as good as I had hoped.
