This was quite interesting to read, although quite strange. No Miranda. But interesting to get an idea of how the Body Farm started. It did feel a bit weird tho, the flow of the storyline. It felt like it took a long time to "set the scene", the build up, and after that it all came together very quickly.Although I didn't mind too much, I do think that might be why it took me much longer to read than the Body Farm novels usually do. It wasn't my favourite in the series.
This was just ok. WARNING: lots of graphic violence against women in this book. Also, it was set in 1992 and supposedly forensic anthropologists were just learning about dating corpses from bugs. However, the actual events that inspired this book (starting the first body farm) took place in the 1970s. This timing makes no sense to anyone who has ever read anything by Kathy Reichs or Patricia Cornwell.
Very, very gruesome. Can cause nightmares.
