This is the first Jen Lancaster book I read, simply because this ebook was immediately available for borrowing from the library. (I love being able to borrow ebooks through the Philadelphia Library's website!)She wrote a memoir of important moments in her life and used a piece of clothing as the symbol for each moment. It's a great idea. Unfortunately, she wrote herself as a real brat as a kid, teen and college student, and it was difficult for me to get through that. Once she got her first job and entered adulthood, I found her much more likable. I read some other reviews of Pretty in Plaid here on Goodreads and I think I'm going to give another one of her books a try. Any suggestions?

This girl is F-U-N-N-Y! I love sarcasm, I love dry wit, I love references, I love irreverent humor. Jen Lancaster delivers on all fronts. Although I have vowed never to stoop to the level of using the texting term "LOL" I will admit to lying in bed, book in hand, laughing uproariously (out loud.) If someone was to read this and not at least crack I smile I would recommend consulting your doctor about starting a course of SSRI's immediately.
