This was the first book of Brand's I have read, despite loving her stand up. It didn't disappoint.
A humorous, quick read about a girl growing up in rural England with a mentally unstable mother.
It has charming bits, but too tidy and unlikely an ending. As a bit of fantasy it was all right.
Stopped after reaching page 50 with no desire to read on.
This was great, a very well written and moving novel.
