Estaba por ponerle 3.5 o 4 estrellas a este cómic. Pero el final me gustó tanto que me hizo ponerle 5. Me dejó un buen sabor de boca, no sé. Me agradó. Aunque mi único problema con el libro son los toques orientales que tiene. Ken(el dibujante) es un español, pero de raíces orientales, algo así leí. Y no me agrada demasiado la cultura oriental. Aunque eso no me impidió disfrutar de este bello cómic.Lo que más disfruté diría que fue la presentación de Barbara, es una rara, como yo. Además de las pequeñas tiras cómicas al final de cada número siempre me dejaban con una enorme sonrisa.
I'd recommend this as a good choice for younger readers, having an interesting protagonist in Barbara and a theme of dealing with life's difficulties that might be helpful and even inspiring. My main takeaway from the book would be the engagingly sketchy artwork, which belies the enormous thoughtfulness and hard work that clearly went into its making. On a geekier note, the covers sport perhaps the cleverest use of spot gloss varnish printing I've ever seen-- but of course that's impossible to discern from a JPEG. You'll just have to get your hands on a copy!
Beautiful story. Excellent writing. Really cool art. I recommend it fully to anyone.
This was very sad and heartwarming. A great graphic novel.
