As a Kevin Smith fan, it would have had to have been something truly awful to get less than 5 stars. I expected a written/audio version of his Q&A shows, and for the most part it is that. Not a bad thing. Smith has a ridiculous quality for talking, spinning a tale that is funny, disgusting, and even occasionally touching. I'd heard plenty of these stories before, but they all still contained new info and new laughs. It will never stop saddening me to know how much of a tool Bruce Willis is.The opening is pretty inspiring infact. I guess we are all winners in a way. And as is said, if you want something, go and do what you can to get it.I think the audio book was a good choice, as I do think hearing the author of works read it themselves adds something, especially when they are so distinctive in their writing and especially their voice. But, in print or in voice, if you like his work, or just like crude humour and good stories then this is a good way to spend some time.

Great collection of stories from the favorite director of my generation - from the ridiculous to the sublime and back again. Lots of insight and behind the scenes stories, if you are into that kind of thing. I just thought it was a fun read.My girlfriend listened to this in her truck, while I listened to it flying from Reno to Bismarck and back again. She had a few day head start, and finished a little before I did. It was funny to hear her tell me how much Kevin sounded like me, whether a turn of phrase or just general outlook, before she finished with it, she was calling him my brother from another mother. Before it was over, I had to agree, this guy would fit right in with me and the guys. Hard not to like a fella like that. PLUS a few of his stories, made me look down right civilized by comparison...
