"The minute I met him, I knew - this is the type of man I expected you to attract..."Becca is at a crossroads in her life. A love triangle is formed and she must choose between pleasing her family or forming a new family of her own. She must choose which life style is her own. Should she move to Boston with the high class laywer who begs to be with her, marry the down to earth small town soldier, who broke her heart but is ready for a second chance, or stay single and fall in love with her teaching career and wait for mr right. I chose to read this book because it has a holiday theme and the Christmas tree on the front cover was just beckoning me to read. The story is easy to follow and does not disappoint.

This was a terrific little Christmas story. Becca and Denny have unresolved issues and when she comes along on the boys' hunting/fishing trip unexpectedly, they quickly realize that there is more than old hatchets to bury. Becca's relationship with the kids in Virgin River was adorable and I loved the fact that Carr wasn't afraid to show the town's imperfections. I also appreciated Denny stepping up and realizing what needed to be done to keep her.
