It was kind of...lame. There are very few times I feel too old/mature to read a book aimed at children/teens, but this felt like one of those times. It was predictable, the action moves too fast, and the characters are flat. Every character, mind you. Absentee parents, with Dad in two modes when he appears; angry at his daughter (but he lets her get away with every arguement) or the try hard Dad trying to make life perfect without his wife. Goofy best friend (not a love interest) two stereotypical bullies, sexy jock taking a not-so-random interest in the heroine. Add to the mix oddly gorey horror scenes, and you have one of the worst books I've read this year (I have had some excellent books already this year, so an average one feels worse than it really was)Not my cup of tea, but younger readers might be thrilled by the gore. Two stars.

I'm not surprised one bit. This book easily delivers what I thought it would. Entertaining horror fluff to pass the time. I will say I didn't find this book to be very creepy. It felt more like Supernatural than something Clive Barker would come up with. Then again, I can't recall ever reading anything yet that has given me the heebie jeebies. If your looking for something light, quick, and could be an episode of Supernatural meets Wes Craven's They, I recommend you give this one a shot.
