I dutifully trudged through this series waiting for that moment that would just blow me away. I knew it was capable of it, it was soooo close as it was. But in the end I found myself majorly let down. Don't get me wrong, this was a decent read with good writing and interesting characters it just didn't live up to its full potential. Or rather the potential I felt it had. I think my biggest disappointment was in Anna, I really feel like she never came up with a plan of action to go against the Dukes. All of her ideas were from others or were just events of fate. And she just accepted it all! She drank and partied to fool the Dukes for 2.5 books and the only time she really stood up for something for herself was in her love for Kaiden (and even that was touch and go for awhile).Like I said this really wasn't a bad book even with the Anna disappointment, if I really couldn't stand it I wouldn't have read all three!

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy. The plot progressed to a singular point which I wasn't exactly expecting. The characters are interesting, if not a bit predictable. However, it proves to be a great way to pass the time mindlessly. There are no integral revelations or mind blowing plot twists, but the story and those involved are well written and thought out. The story reaches its crescendo with satisfying crash and settles down to a happy ending for our heroine
