review 1: I think I'm hooked on this series if for no other reason than I just have to know how it ends! Sometimes the writing isn't very deep and it can get a little repetitive. But Damen and Ever's love story is so intriguing... I mean whats driving them? Plus, I really despise love triangles but with this series where's the competition? Jude? Please... nappy dreads and an eyebrow scar... it leaves a little something to be desired. So even though I think the story has been a little drug out... I'm ready for the final book so I can lay this story to rest in my brain and figure out what the deal is with the dark abyss in Summerland...
review 2: Now night star, known as the title of the fifth book for the immortals series by Alyson noel, is cool and downright a cliffhange... morer! First of all, Haven was finally killed in this book by Ever. Who was also 'supposed' to have been dead, because Haven hit her weak spot. Right in her throat. And while Jude, the known 'supposed' lover of Ever in her and their past lives, dangled in a dangerous state much like her. The twins managing to bring him to Summerland in hopes of healing him; which pretty much did. Ever, felt once again the onslaught of the Shadowland that showed her her whole life; including the gruesome parts of her past lives that Damen refused to show her. But because of Damen and her accepting and realizing the truth, she survived Shadowland.And while her aunt Sabine continues to squeeze her very secrets out, Ever has proven to be a newer version of her weak proclaimed self. She very much is the calm, collective and understanding immortal have come to know and love.P.S the twins, Romy and Rayne? yeah them. They pretty much changed their attitudes towards Ever when she came back alive from Shadowland. less
