review 1: Trey's story will have you feeling all sorts of things. He has been dealt a pretty rough hand at life. When he lost Taylor at the hands of someone who should have loved him it sent him on the run. When you are hiding and trying to keep your past and your feelings from everyone it makes you feel alone. Trey dealt with that. He gets with Devil's Lair and it gives him a new life eventually. His journey with Tara is amazing. She helps Trey in so many ways. You don't want to miss this story. It will captivate you from the very beginning until the very end. Very well written with characters who will make you laugh and make you love them.
review 2: Backstage is book #4 in the Back-Up Series by A.M. Madden, it can be read as a stand alone however I highly suggest read... moreing books 1-3 so that you can learn about the man of the hour….Trey Taylor *HOT*This is by far my favorite book of this series. Trey was always somewhat of a mystery to us before. Quiet and brooding, hiding behind his shades. In Backstage we learn so much more about him. The book begins when he’s just 18 and leads us through the tragedy of his youth.“Dread takes over my emotions….It comes, destroys, and leaves in one swift motion.”Being inside of Trey’s head was a trip. He’s confident to the point of being cocky but he owns it and makes it hot. He’s also suffering and trying to make it on his own.“On the outside, I’m a cocky rocker who answers to one one and loves life. On the inside, I’m a fucked up man who wants to crawl into a hole and never wake up.”Trey’s story brings us up to him meeting the guys of Devil’s Lair, becoming a member of the band, and meeting Tara….the girl that could change him forever.“Flirting? I’m fucking flirting now? Holy shit, what the fuck is happening?”If you’ve read the other books you already have a glimpse at how much of a man whore Trey is, this story solidifies it but gives us his reasons for his lifestyle. However, I did NOT think I would ever thinking something like this…“I need her, too. I need her more than she’ll ever know.”“She’s altered me. I’ll never be able to find another person who means as much to me as she does, but if I can’t have her then I can be happy knowing that she’s happy and safe.”You will be amazed at the transformation Trey and Tara’s relationship takes in this book. She is just what he needs and she wants him….can Trey ever feel that he deserves her?On the inside, I’m a fuck up in love. I’ve come to the conclusion my body is just a vessel to hide the real me.A.M. Madden took parts of this story in interesting, dark, and unexpected directions. I loved reading this book….I got lost in the world of Trey, Tara, and Devil’s Lair and I hope to read more about the band sometime down the road ;) less
