review 1: 3.5. **** This was a good book. It captures you almost from the very beginning, and even though it's easy to figure out what will happen, it's still a hard book to put down. The way it ends, makes me think the Author has maybe not yet decided whether to make a sequal or not. There is an ending, but I would love to read more! I mean, what happens when the other vampire families find out about her? I bet Vlad was not the only vampire willing to do anything to make Sophie his. I love James!!! I hope he remains in her life and heart if there is a book 2! ;-)
review 2: Recap: Sophie is your average high school teen that gets lost in the background. Her goal is to be editor n chief for the school paper, her closest and basical only friend is her competitor. What sho... moreuld be an easy editorial assignment, meet and interview the new kids, turns out harder, dangerous, and more mysterious than she bargained for. It was a teen book, yea it had vampires they didn't sparkle but did have a few perks. Most of the book flowed well, it gave me high school flashbacks but my neighbour didn't become a vampire. Sophie grew up with James, he was her first kiss and comes with so many memories from childhood. Throughout the book Sophie is trying to figure out then avoid Vlad all while startin to crush on her old friend James. Good teen vamp book, flowed nice and didn't get bored with it. Was a nice easy read. I gave it a 4 outta 5 because I liked the story, and the characters. It was cute with a sweet ending. less
