review 1: I've completely fallen in love with this author, her characters and all things Granite Falls. Secret Bride is a story of loss and eventual love. Michelle was raised without her mother in an abusive household. She has her brother and friends that obviously care for her but she's yet to find her one great love. Erik is a widower with a young daughter. His wife died tragically but we question the strength of his marriage. We find him searching for a nanny for his daughter, he obviously loves her dearly. Michelle and Erik find each other, she eventually becomes his secret wife. There face a number of emotional ups and down, a manipulative "other" woman and personal insecurity. There is a happily ever after for this couple but how many obstacles must they overcome to reach it. ... moreThe journey is emotional and well worth the read. I absolutely recommend this story and every story in the Billionaires Brides of Granite Falls series.
review 2: I thought it was a sweet story but some things I just couldn't fathom! What made Cassie so wonderful that Eric couldn't forget her?? She lied to him! His best bud knew personal things about his (Eric's)wife that he didn't!! Everyone seemed to know more about Cassie's problems than her own husband!! I think she was a nutcase! And this is the woman he is devoted to?? Yeah...other than the Cassie question I really enjoyed the book. Michelle was a sweetie and the kids were great. So mostly this is an enjoyable easy reading book! Perfect for a lazy day!! less

The Doctor's Secret Bride is an enjoyable book. It had a lot of romance and a little bit of mystery.

Probably more at 2 1/2 stars. Liked parts of it, didn't like others. It was all right.

This book was emotional. Sometime I was angry and at other times I was smiling.

Just. Good Golly Miss Molly what tragedy *didn't* strike these characters?
