review 1: Annabelle works as a dressmaker in a popular shop where she gets tidbits of gossip to use to her advantage for her very poor family. Owen is a Duke and becomes the object of Annabelle's recent scheme. In order to keep an eye on her she agrees to make some dresses for his sisters in his home. During this time they fall in love, she is done with her schemes, her family is no longer in trouble, and mama is cured. Great read!!
review 2: I really enjoyed Ms. Barton's debut novel. I had the honor of interviewing her on my blog before she became published and knew instantly she was destined for a fabulous future as a romance author. I loved every aspect of Annabel and Owen's love story, especially how the pair deal with Annabel's extortion attempt. Yikes! I was charme... mored by the fascinating characters and writing. I am eagerly awaiting her next release!! less
