review 1: Well, I liked it. Would have loved it but of course they had to cheat on each other, thus it want from like a 5 in my head to a 2. I cannot stand cheating. Then they were both decided to stay together. I personally cannot justify staying in a relationship if there is cheating on either or both ends. I almost didn't finish it when it came up, but I did. Such a wonderful story but it crashed hard on my end. I did like how passed on the tradition of the pubs.
review 2: It is difficult for me to see this as historical. If I did, that would mean that I'M historical, having lived during this time. ;-)A lovely read. Sweet, tender with a bit of angst thrown in to make it real. I think it will make anyone who reads it remember their first awkward time.
