review 1: A Charmed Place - New England Shore Stories - (Dan and Maddie) - In a peaceful seaside town called Sandy Point, Maddie Regan hopes to find solace from a troubled ex-husband and a feisty teenaged daughter. But she never expects the man from her past, Dan Hawke, to take up residence in the local lighthouse. And so a charming cottage and a sleepy town become ignited in long-lost passion, long-buried secrets, and a last chance at love...
review 2: Ended up being a cute and interesting story but it was really slow to start. The first 50% of the book moved at a snail's pace with the vast majority of the action crammed into the last third. All the various pieces of the story tied up together nicely but you had to have a lot of patience to get far enough to appreciate
... more that. Maddie and Dan's happily ever after was sweet and makes you regain faith in the power of love. less

None of the characters were likeable, which made the story hard to get in to.
