review 1: As another military widow, I have found this book amazing! It's been six years since my loss and this book took me back and made me remember each and every detail that I had thrown into my subconsciousness. The brain has an interesting defense mechanism. I'm glad I could remember all those details. I read it in one sitting too! Although I had to give a break at page 142 as took me a while to stop crying. I would like to thank Artis Henderson for this beautifully written memoir.
review 2: The writing was lovely and I'd definitely read more by this author but I didn't love the book itself as much as I wanted to. There were just a lot of things I wanted to know more about that she didn't really get into. I wanted to know more about how she and Miles met, how they ... morenavigated being so different, more about him in general, and more about the aftermath of her loss. The ending came on kind of suddenly. less
