review 1: This was a good book and I liked it, but I felt like I knew exactly what was going to happen. Dex is a man who knows what he wants and has an intriguing way to remember his one nighters. But there is always the things that you don't plan on...and for him that is love. I liked that he went through quote a lot of changes in this book, and I can see where there might be sequels too. He's a world famous photographer who got started when a young girl came to his studio looking for headshots. Of course that is how he became famous and they are best friends, or are they??
review 2: Some may call Dexter (Dex) MacFadden an asshole or douche bag for the way he handles his “relationships” in life, but to be honest, I think he is rather ingenious. Dex has lots of one ... morenight stands. After he is fully sated (and she is as well), he slips out in the wee hours of the morning and leaves a business card (aka calling card) on the woman’s kitchen counter. On the front of the card is a phone number. On the back is a number 1-10. The phone number goes to an answering service. Once the woman calls, she is asked the number on the back. If the number is a 7 or higher, her information is stored for possible later encounters. If the number is a 6 or lower, the information is still taken but not stored. So all of the women are made to think they have a chance at least with him again. See? He’s not a total douche bag! And he never promised the women anything more than just a one night stand. If the women hope for or want more, that is kind of on them.Well the proverbial shit hits the fan for Dex. His very private affairs comes to surface and the whole world now knows all about it. Dex needs to avoid the public for a while so he flees to his best friend’s (Briar) house to hang out with her and her daughter (Katie). Briar used to be a model. (Did I mention that Dex was a photographer?) She got pregnant and married and quit the modeling career. Her husband passed away; therefore it’s just Briar and Katie. Briar and Dex had been together once but it didn’t work out and they became close friends. Now that Dex and Briar are spending so much time together, the bond they share starts to grow. Secrets are revealed. The past comes back to haunt them both. Sparks fly. What will happen? Read to find out! I loved the book. This is the first book I have read by Ashley Suzanne and I am intrigued to read more of her works. There is a sexy scene between Dex and Briar during a photo shoot that had me fanning myself hard! It’s a must read for everybody out there! I couldn’t get enough. There were moments where I didn’t know if this was going to be a cliffhanger or a HEA. Lots of twists and turns are in it too.
