review 1: Mo is pretty pleased when his friends all admire his new mustache, but when they all get one of their own he gets a little annoyed, so he gets a new scarf to set himself apart, but then they all do, too - oh, no! Poor Mo, gets fed up and asks why everyone is copying him, which elicits lots of positive and admiring comments, so flattered, Mo calms down and decides to stage a fashion show with his friends. Loved the adorable illustrations!
review 2: Mo orders away for a mustache and his friends are so bowled over that they copy his new look. In a quest to always stay one step ahead, Mo gets a scarf, but is furious when his friends copy him again. It's all about perspective in this story because when Mo looks at his trendsetting styles through his friends' eyes he... more feels flattered and everybody bands together to put on a fashion show. I liked all the responses Mo's friends give when he rocks a new style. The copycat basis for the story is funny, yet relatable and the conclusion is perfect. Watercolor and ink illustrations. Great read aloud for PreK-2. less
