review 1: I was looking for a fun, light hearted easy read book this summer and found this one by Beth McMullen in a random search. It was very entertaining and enjoyable... like a good movie that leaves you feeling happy and complete when you leave the theater. It's set up perfect for the next novel to take right off but doesn't leave you feeling like the first one hasn't ended. I'm sure the story reaches a wide audience but it's definitely an exciting adventure for stay-at-home moms to dive into :-) Looking forward to Spy Mom (To Sin Again)!
review 2: Light and exciting, Original Sin is the mommy James Bond. Told in a series of present time mommy adventures alternating with backflashes of Sally the Spy, the story escalates until Sally's past catches up to the present... more and mommy Sally - now Lucy - must balance both faces of her life at the same time. The supporting cast is wonderfully personality-filled, from the cold and creepy Simon Still (Sally's old boss) to her green husband Will who actually sold Sally's beloved car to get something that more earth friendly .... And expected Sally to be happy about it! All in all, Original Sin is a wonderfully fun read.(less) less
