review 1: I would rate this book a 4. This is somewhat of a controversial book because it talks about a homosexual boy. But, the thing I really like about this book is it doesn't focus on his sexual preference but on his journey to becoming the best makeup artist that he can. This is a great book for older kids to read to know that there are different kinds of people out there and that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. there is more to people out there besides there personal choices. I would recommend this book to kids anywhere from 6th grade all the way through high school.
review 2: To be honest I had no idea what to expect from this book going into it. I had to read it for a school project but I was a little shocked when it wasn't as bad of a book as I thought
... moreit could be. The book covered issues of being a gay boy in high school but they do it in a great way where its not a typical book about a gay kid in high school. His biggest obstacle is becoming a make up artist which he dreams of becoming. Its not just a romance novel as I might have expected it to be. less

The book was good but it was missing something that could have made it even better.
