review 1: Just finishing reading this epic book. It was my reading book while on the elliptical bike. Thought the chapters where Simmons talked about his love for basketball and his relationship with his father were the best. Some funny moments in the footnotes section, which was a great add-on to the book. Book written in 2010, so it was interesting hearing his take on LeBron who will end up either the first or second greatest basketball player of all-time. His analogy of Kobe Bryant and Teen Wolf was both very funny and spot on. His book was long, but I still wished he had a chapter on head coaches. Love to hear his take on certain types and styles. Perhaps in the next installment.
review 2: "The Book of Basketball" by Bill Simmons, was a great book. If you love playin
... moreg basketball and watching basketball, this book is for you. This book explains the past, present, and the future of basketball all from the view of a basketball analyst. It tells you all about the great players and teams that shaped the NBA. If you don't watch a lot of basketball or play it I don't think this book is for you because it would be very confusing and hard to understand. Overall this is great book to sit down and read for all basketball fans. less

Very inconsistent. Some great points but a cloying Celtic bias taints an otherwise strong effort.

Quality read. Stoked for "the Second Book of Basketball: a quick influx of cash."
