2017 is not a good year for Kapuso teleserye. GMA teleseryes failed to beat shows from other networks. Most of the highly-rated shows are from Kapamilya network.
Only few people watch the pilot episode of Kambal Karibal starring Bianca Umali and Kyline Alcantara. However, their Kapamilya counterpart, La Luna Sangre starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, got the highest rating from November 27 to 28, 2017 according to Urban at Rural survey from Kantar Media. Also, LLS got the national TV rating of 31.4%, while Kambal Karibal got only 15.6%.
Even Super Ma’am can’t beat Cardo Dalisay. Ang Probinsyano is still in the lead and got the national TV ratings of 40.7% on November 28, while Super Ma’am got 18.9%.
Even in the morning time slot, ABS-CBN’s live coverage of Miss Universe 2017 got a 23.9% rating.
Of course, The Good Son also has a fair share of good ratings. The Good Son got 19.9% compare its counterpart, My Korean Jagiya with a rating of 11.2%.
