review 1: Fascinating book, I was sorry to see it end. I had already read a much shorter biography, but this one filled in the blanks and really detailed the influence she had on public TV and gastronomy in the U. S. I think now I need to read "My Life in France" as well as "Mastering the Art of French Cooking". It also made me want to find out what has happened to her friends and colleagues who survived her.
review 2: I truly enjoyed this book written of Julia Child's life! The author not only presented so much information through his thorough research but also presented it in a way that was delightfully written and entertaining to read. It was by far the best bio of Julia that I have read so far. I was sad to have the book end as I always am when I read of Julia's lif... moree. I can't seem to read enough of her life and this was a wonderful book to add to my list of "Julia" books! less
