review 1: This was an engaging analysis of North Korean Propaganda. I did not entirely agree with his thesis that NK is strictly a race-based fascist state in the Imperial Japanese model. (I'm of the opinion that it is a pure kleptocracy). However, the book did point out the rather large role that race plays in both the interior and foreign politics of NK, and how the ruling elite manipulates Koreans' ideas about race to legitimate their rule. I recommend this one very highly.

It's shorter than I would have liked, but informative nonetheless.
