review 1: Derringer Westmoreland sure did have to work hard to get his wife, Lucia Conyers. Even though she loved him since she was sixteen years old, she refused to let him make a mockery of her by adding her to the long list of women he use to bed. What I loved the most about this love story was that the "SKANK" and spoiled brat Ashira was. Or able to sink her meat hooks in to Derringer so that she could have his name and his fortune.
review 2: Lucia has been in love with Derringer Westmoreland since she was a teen but he's never given her the time of day. Convinced he's the only man she'll ever love, and she'll never have him, she risks sleeping with him while he's doped up on pain pill following a horse riding accident. Leaving her virginity and panties behind, Luc... moreia flees in the morning. Derringer wakes up to vague memories of a women in his bed, her scent lingering everywhere and her pink panties under his leg. He intends to find the mystery women who might be carrying his child and teach her a lesson. I liked this. Plan and simple. That's not to say it didn't have issues. Derringer and Lucia's first time together was rape. The author tried several times to make it clear that both parties were participating fully but one of them with over dosed with pain pills and man or not, he was not doing this in his right mind. Derringer's goal after he realizes a women was in his bed is to make her pay, not thank her for a good time he can barely recall. Still, the overall story was good and I'm not making light of or a huge deal out of their first encounter. less
