review 1: This current run of Deadpool continues to entertain, although this volume largely traded in the humor for an attempt at humanizing the merc with the mouth. What I enjoyed most was the "classic" opening issue to this volume and the scenes with Deadpool, Wolverine and Captain America although the latter scenes were the ones that had all the humor stripped away in favor of a more serious tone. All in all, it was still a great read but I'm hoping when I crack open the next volume I find a return to the absurd humor that made me love the first two volumes of this run.
review 2: As much as it hurts to give Deadpool less than 4 stars, I didn't really care for the first story in this one (the throwback to the 70s story). While it has its place in the plot, it was sorta w
... morerong (since it had Wade already scarred and he didn't get that way until much later) and it painted him as just being tremendously stupid. Deadpool is insane, not stupid. The rest of the book was great, though. less
