review 1: The writing was well done except for a couple of grammatical errors. The characters were very well developed. This subject matter is fascinating and the author does well with suggesting the past abuse without going into the gory details. I was torn between the two male characters, I really liked both of them, but I didn't like Gwen, she was understandably harsh and angry. The book seemed to wrap up too quickly, almost like the author got tired of it and wanted to be done. I was left unsatisfied and wanted more.
review 2: Wow. Phew! This book was a serious emotional roller coaster and I loved it from the first page! I was sucked in by the sample and I had to run back to Amazon to download the rest of the book. Brooklyn Skye knows how to write deep characters
... more that leap off the page. I had my doubts on how this would turn out and half expected it to be hokey but the author delivered. It was genuine, it cut to the heart, and I laughed and cried with the characters and I felt like I was there with them every moment. This is a story that's going to stick with me and haunt my thoughts for some time. Excellent!!! less

I love the style. Unreliable narration is so hit and miss for me, so this was a pleasant surprise.
