review 1: What a wonderful book. I really couldn't put it down. Tess and Charles are simply amazing main character to read. Tessa used to be part of the San Francisco yakuza but after being sent to jail in place of a cousin, she has found God and doesn't want to go back to her old life. While Charles is fighting to achieve his ambition. i can't wait to read the next book and see the development of the character's relationships. Although I could do without Tessa's selfish sister in the book.
review 2: Camy Tang has done it again! This book has a different set of characters than one usually sees in Christian fiction. They feel and act like "real" people and have backgrounds one doesn't normally read about or expect to find in Christian fiction. The plot is exciting and sus... morepenseful, it's a real page turner! You get involved in the characters' lives and I guarantee you won't want to put the book down until you've finished reading it. This book is one I would recommend to anyone, even those who aren't regular Christian fiction readers. Great book! less
