review 1: I greatly enjoyed reading 'Love on Assignment'! Cara did a fabulous job of weaving her faith intricately through the entire book while keeping the story line going on around it; I have read few authors who are able to do so with such eloquence and ease as she does. I am very excited to finish the other books in this series and to read more by Cara Lynn James. 'Love on Assignment' will definitely be on my list of book recommendations for all of my friends!
review 2: Cute story, but not a whole lot of substance. Things just kind of...happen. Charlotte and Daniel notice each other, but we don't see a whole lot of relationship buildup between that and their realizations and declarations of love. Charlotte tells a small untruth about her faith in order to secure ... moreher job, feels guilty, reads some of the Bible over a short period of time, and bam! her faith has developed strong. For nearly 300 pages of text, there's not a whole lot of development in there at all. It's a pleasant story, but it was hard to really get involved with the characters. It felt as if they felt the same way. less
