review 1: Read it with my mouth open, in the shape of a perfect O.Oh, it is monstrous.I wanted a HEA so badly. If I had a happy end, I could justify reading it without flinching.NO HEA, and for that I thank the author. I feel like she anticipated me at every turn, and then denied me any fixes of sugar. Like a breath of welcome foul air after too much Spring goodness. So I must live with my guilt. My thanks to the author for this sip of the dark.
review 2: Ok, WOW, this shorty packs a punch. Yes, it is disturbing, yes, it is mostly awful. But seriously, I could not read it fast enough. This is sex trafficking at its most sickening worst. I can't even remember how many WTF moments I had, but there were an awful lot in this very short span of a story. It is mainly about
... more one boy (or he is a boy when he is taken) who basically goes from bad to worse, and that is before he serves his initial purpose and is "retired." The master he ends up with is one twisted sadistic f**k. From the horrible treatment and abuse, to the body mods. Even after he is rescued, it is easy to see he will never really be whole or ok again. Now, the ending. Holy one giant WTF kind of ending is that? I felt like I was totally edged and then forced into denial mode. There has got to be more to this story, and I want it. Please, Ms. Waites, give us a little bit more. less
