review 1: This is a fast-paced, engaging book with an original premise, likable main characters, and a fascinating alternate world. I found the whole idea of anomalies really interesting, and I thought the romance was very well done. I plan to get a copy for my classroom library because I think the book will be a hit with students who like dystopian books as well as students who are interested in history and WWII. There is a lot of violence, but that makes sense considering the premise and storyline. A suspenseful, compelling debut!
