The Girls from Alcyone
review 1: The story is a good one, along the lines of Star Wars With heavy Japanese influence. But there the good stuff ends. The action is well paced and thought out, you can really envision what is happening. The characters are quick to forget their injuries though which makes them a bit unbelievable to me. They didn't seem to stay consistent throughout the book either. One minute Sigrid was a shy timid creature, the next she was barbarously lobbing off heads Amazonian style and scantily clad. I felt the story could have so much more intrigue than what was presented. Overall it would make for a good action movie with all the explosions, flesh, and gore a man could want.
review 2: I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy this novel. I've never read anything from this author
... more, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was HOOKED! I didn't want to do anything else except read this on my kindle. I love the author's choice of characters. I think one of the reasons why I enjoyed this so much was because it was from female's perspectives. For once, women were sought to kick some ass! In this novel, women were the stronger sex; it was just so refreshing to read something out of the ordinary. I must find out if this author has more novels! less

Kind of like Halo with Girls. Genetically enhanced assassin-ninja's.
