review 1: Heartbreakingly BeautifulUPDATE:Honestly.....another freaking great story from Peeler.I've loved her work since I got hooked on her Full Circle series and I couldn't wait for more to come, and here we are, with Southern Perfection, and you WON'T be disappointed.I want to thank Peeler for kindly providing me with a copy to read and review, and I will be honest towards the end I ended up a red eyed, stuffy nose , sniffling mess.....UGLY cried big time...Raegan Lowery: Know to all as Miss perfect, an honor student and perfectionist, except those close to her, they know the REAL Raegan, the real life she lives and not the one she portrays for others. After tragedy strikes Raegan and her Pawpaw (Grandaddy) they both face a lifetime of changes and a whole load of hills to climbAn... more act of kindness to someone who needs it the most will always stick in their minds, and what young Emmett did for Raegan all those years ago has never been forgotten about, never once left both of their minds, it's like fate has struck and brought them back together...I love how personal this was to Peeler and the she manages to pour her heart and soul into each and every one of her stories, albeit each and every is different. This book is amazing it will make you Laugh, Cry and Fall in love....
review 2: Southern PerfectionI was one of the fortunate few to get the opportunity to read this early.Let me just start off by saying that while I love Casey Peeler personally that has nothing to do with my review on this book. I am in love with the character Emmett in this book. (Yes, I love him more than Cash from the Full Circle books.) Raegan has always went above and beyond to take care of her granddaddy. Making him a very proud man. After all he’s really the only family she has left. She is your All American Dream Girl. Varsity Cheerleader, honor student and she can run a farm.Emmett never realized the impact a small gesture on kindness could have on Rae, until years later. Now, he’s moved back to her small town and can’t seem to get the all American beauty out of his head.By a few chapters in I was invested in these characters. I loved the chemistry that Rae and Emmett pull off. I’m a sucker for a girl who can do it all and a smokin’ hot southern boy. This book grabbed my attention and is a very good book for an older YA audience.I give this book 5 STARS.Great Job Casey! less
