review 1: يا الله.. لم أكن أتوقع أن تكون القنابل النووية تحمل كل هذا العذاب و كل هذه الألم، ولم أكن أتوقع أنه يوجد بشر بكل هذه البشاعة.. ليسقطوا أسلحة فتاكة فوق رؤوس إخوانهم في الإنسانية وكأنهم فئزان تجارب !! موجعة الرواية ومليئة بالألم الذي لا يستطيع أحد منا احتماله، لكن سكان هيروشيما ونغازاكي استطاعوا تجاوز كل فصول المعاناة، ليعشوا على هذه الأرض من جديد،ولكي يقولوا للعالم: "فلتكف عن الحروب أيها العالم، توقفوا عن الحقد والكراهية أيها البش... moreر، واجعلوا للحب والسلام مكانا أوسع على هذه الأرض" ، السلام .. نعم السلام! لن يقدر أحد السلام حق قدره إلا من اختبر وطأة الحرب، والمعاناة، كما اختبرها وعاشها الناجون من القنبلتين. :"انشروا أفعالا طيبة حولكم، من شخص إلى آخر، انشروا اللطف مثل وباءٍ معدٍ!" كما يقول ياماغوشي أحد الناجين من القنبلتين.
review 2: "That there shall be no more graves of the blue fireflies. That there shall come no more black rains. That no loved one shall ever again know what it means to fold a thousand paper cranes." One of the most horrifying but educational and eye opening books I've ever read, the lesson that the book comes down to of simply, love thy neighbor, be kind and believe in such things as simple acts of kindness is truly brought home. Some of the physics of the atomic bomb itself were wsy above my understanding but it did nothing to downplay the horror and atrocities that the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were. This book makes me remember to cherish every day and always remember my loved ones because God knows what kind of terrifying and twisted weapon someone`s coming up with behind closed doors. less
