review 1: Forbidden love between a sexy as sin Demon and pure-hearted Angel? Plus hot sex from a great author who knows how to write steamy scenes? This is a novella, but there is plenty of world building and secondary characters to keep your attention. I liked watching Celeste realize she's falling for the demon that has been taunting her for centuries, and then Damael being caught off guard by wanting to make Celeste his, no matter the consequences. And of course, there's always danger and a twist at the end before the Angel and Demon can have their HEA.
review 2: I would actually give this 3.5 stars. I didn't like it as much as her contemporary novels, but I enjoyed the quick paranormal romance. Maybe that was part of my problem, it seemed to have too quick a reso... morelution. While Cherrie writes great love scenes, after reading 3 books in a row, I am finding the vanilla, virginal sex a little boring. Though I don't expect an angel to be into S & M, I guess I'm ready for a spicier read. less
