review 1: Read in one day! The conversational banter between author Sue Finley and Jason Dodd, a narcotics detective for the Houston Police Department is wonderful - sometimes witty, sometimes sexy, and sometimes downright hilarious. One of my sheer delights as a reviewer is to share that this romance novel may truly be enjoyed by women and men. Christie Craig provides the reader with glimpses throughout the story of the feelings and more importantly the daily 'survival techniques' that Sue and Jason have developed to protect each of their hearts due to the influences of their personal experiences. I definitely recommend giving this novel a read to find out if their 'personal walls' can be penetrated by love and laughter.
review 2: VERY ENTERTAINING!Great book! Funny... more, sexy and cleaver writing. It's a romance mystery, but the mystery doesn't overtake the story. The romance between Jason and Sue is center stage, and the comic relief is off the charts! It was soooo much fun to read. The only annoying thing of the story, in my opinion, was how Jason waited till almost the last page to answer the very important question: WHY DIDNT YOu CALL?!?!?! LOL It would have at least allowed their sexual romance to begin a little earlier in the book! LOL BuT, on the other hand, the build-up of sexual tension added to the books entertainment and humor!!Even the mystery part was fun! Cristie Craig is very entertaining and this is my second series of hers I have read and I have yet to be disappointed!I will be keeping these books to re-read in the future! less
