Faith Hunter Scrap This Mystery

review 1: I really enjoyed this cozy mystery and finished it in one day. The characters were well-written and varied. Some were out-right snarky, while others were very competitive, and some just struggling through tough times. I like the scrapbooking theme, which brings more women together, and therefore more drama. The main character, Faith, is still reeling from a murky past and hasn't allowed anyone to get close enough to trust them with her secret. By the end of the story, the detective and the prosecutor both have thrown out several signals they would like their relationship to grow more familiar. The story speaks of family ties and loyalty to friends.
review 2: Good start to a new cozy series around scrapbooking. Faith has a lot of baggage from her time in the Ar... moremy and a bad situation, but that doesn't stop a couple of guys from being interested her. And of course there is the mystery to solve as to who killed Michael Kane. I will say I don't think I suspected the killer until near the end...to me that is the sign of a good mystery, when I can't figure it out right away! less
