review 1: This book reminded me of the movies Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility and Emma. It is written in the ways of the time period (late 1700's - early 1800's), there is no cursing, no raciness just a good mystery and a sweet romance. I couldn't really tell you why I enjoyed it so much other then how refreshing it was to have a page turner that yet meandered along and picked away at solving the mystery. I loved it.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book. I loved that William wrote letters to Tamsin as soon as he learned they were to be married. I loved that Tamsin went to help her betrothed before she ever met him other than through letters. William has a family with secrets that he has no clue about until he is falsely accused of murder. He and Tamsin begi... moren their own investigation and come to learn those secrets. There is a bit of magic but more about their relationship. Good read. less
