review 1: Noah Baxter...a hot book boyfriend! What lack in depth in the first, book two made up for it. I enjoyed reading both the leads POV,rather, I truly enjoyed Noah's. Here, their bond got stronger as they dealt with their struggles. It also made it more interesting to hear the ever calculating devil from hell, ever greedy David's POV as well. It certainly added intrigue and you can't help rooting for Noah and Lainie. There were a few trivial things that were amusing in the 1st book but got a little too old quickly. Her incessant mentioning of her coochie and referring to it as a third person grated at times. I love Noah, his thoughts touches my heart when he thinks how much he loves Lainie. So willing to sacrifice his love for her if setting her free meant her happiness. He is ... morethe one that made this a good and enjoyable read for me.** an arc was provided by NetGalley **
review 2: This is book two - Lanie and Noah -- okay need a recap - book 1 ended with Dez showing up at the mansion where Noah lives to take Lanie away after Noah proclaimed his love for her and tore up the contract in which he bought her as his love slave (a virgin to boot) and left her hanging dry. Lanie's mother is at deaths door. Polly arrives and calls the good Noah and he of course gets his super duper doctor uncle to take Lanie's mother's case and well all things work out. Except how and the hell is Lanie going to explain Noah to her parents. Problem one. Then of course there is David Stone. Problem two. Egomaniac is too mild a word for this character. He wants to claim Lanie as his own and hurt his ex-friend. He finds out Noah's secrets and is going to do everything in his power to ruin him and get the company all to himself Scarlet Lotus. I liked the book. I think book 1 had more - I don't know how to describe it but more something. This book is a bit pricey. So take that into consideration before purchasing it $10.99 for an ebook -- that is usually way out of my price range. But I was on holiday so I splurged. less

2.5 at best. Not a great follow up, very little conflict or plot. Just O.K compared to the first.
